Many employers sponsor health fairs, days when employees push their work aside and receive wellness services and education in the workplace. Increasingly these events include discussions of the benefits of complementary and alternative medicine, and lucky employees get sample treatments. Other employers prefer one big blowout to show their appreciation for employees, with food and drinks, entertainment, and luxurious services like Reiki sessions. Workplaces that experience peak seasons, like tax accountants, medical offices, and hotels, bring in food and services to help employees de-stress, stay focused, and keep up with demand.
After completing Reiki I, most people soon find Reiki indispensable in the workplace. You can fill your office or cube with Reiki energy to create a better working environment. You can use Reiki to temporarily fix printers and copiers that are acting up. (I know it sounds strange that Reiki would fix something mechanical, but I've used it several times, and so have other Reiki practitioners I know.) And of course you can Reiki yourself when you need more energy and less stress.
Clients can also take advantage of the benefits of Reiki in their workplaces. You can ask your Reiki practitioner to use distance healing to send you extra energy for important meetings or long workdays. Most people know the relaxation technique of imagining yourself somewhere else, somewhere peaceful. But where? How about at a Reiki session! You can also have your Reiki practitioner focus energy on a piece of jewelry or desktop object that you can take with you to work.
